Making a depression video had its perks, I learned a lot about delivery of the written word. How to arrange written text to keep readers on the edge of their seat. Hiding the reveal until the last moment. This was an interesting way to present something. It is not technically something I would use to present information in a classroom. I've always found that these types of emotional videos are a little too emotional for the already very emotional teenagers that I'll be teaching one day. My goal in the classroom is to be surprising, high energy, and entertaining. My goal is to not lose their interest or attention. Keeping them engaged is the goal, I think with videos like this, that can often leave some students feeling too much, or tuning out from the lesson. I don't want that in my classroom. So this idea is fun, interesting, and it's a fairly easy assignment, but I think that outside of this class, I won't use it too much. But it was a fun experience, as I have only ever watched videos like this, and never have made one myself.
